Dr Pat Campbell grew up on the Sunshine Coast and then the Darling Downs. After training at UQ and working in tertiary hospitals around Brisbane she was drawn back to the bush, working in rural and remote hospitals and clinics all over Australia. Over the years she has worked in refugee health in WA, indigenous health in Arnhem Land, and remote expedition medicine in Antarctica.
Pat moved to Douglas Shire and joined the practice in 2014, and plans to stay in the area long term with her partner Andy and their 4 dogs, growing fruit on their off-grid property. When not working in the Clinic she is likely to be found hiking, spearfishing, camping and paddle boarding.
Pat teaches medical students and GP registrars and practices in all areas of family medicine with a holistic focus. She particularly enjoys travel medicine, seeing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, skin surgery and child health.
