Dr Steve Salleras
Dr Steve Salleras was born in Tully in far north Queensland, the son of sugar cane farmers. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and since then has worked in Gosford, NSW, England, Cairns and Clermont in Central Queensland, before settling happily in this area.
During his earlier years he has developed skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine and dive medicine. He enjoys the full range of challenges that General Practice presents and believes passionately in the idea of “treating the person rather than simply the disease”.
Dr Steve Salleras is married with two children.
