Dr Doug Quarry has a long history of working in rural and remote medicine and has expertise in indigenous health and computer program development. He has an MSc in Community Health from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
Dr Quarry has worked for many years for the medical assistance company International SOS where he studies medical risks to travellers and expatriates and provides guidance on trip preparation and risk mitigation.
Dr Quarry has also worked as a flying doctor in the Northern Territory, was Medical Superintendent of Mossman Hospital, opened a general practice in Port Douglas, consulted on international health in Washington DC and worked on remote northern Canadian Indian reservations.
